2017 Public Participation Games

Many thanks to all the clubs, organisations and individuals who presented their participation games at Hammerhead 2017. There were 70 games/activities booked into the main central gaming area of the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall and the Gamers Lounge. There was a really good mix of genre, scales, and rule systems. Participation Games Awards

Trophies were presented for the following categories

1) Best Visually Appealing Game - Up the Creek Without a Paddle (Boat)! - Dave and Malc Victorian Steel

2) Best Constructed Participation Game - Wot, No Parachute! - League of Gentleman Anti-Alchemists

3) Overall Best Game Dalek's Invasion Earth - South London Warlords

The Winners of each category received a trophy unique to Hammerhead 2017 to keep.

In addition the Best Overall Game winners South London Warlords have their name added to the Hammerhead Shield.

The Prize Draw 2018

For each game in which you participate, you will be given a Game Slip. Write your name on the games slip and take this to the Prize Draw Box, located on the Information Desk in either the Gamers Lounge or the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall - the two boxes will be mixed together and winners drawn. Make sure you have entered all your Game slips for the Prize Draw by 3:00pm ready for the prizes to be drawn at 3:15pm. The winning numbers will be displayed in both venues on the Information desk. Please take part in as many games as you desire, however, a maximum of 5 game slips per visitor can be entered into the Prize Draw.

Make sure you have entered your Game slips, maximum of 5, for the Prize Draw by 3:00pm ready for the prizes to be drawn at 3:15pm.

Lucky winners will receive our unique Letters of Marque (LOM), each with a monetary value, First Prize £75Second Prize £50and Third Prize £25, only exchangeable with a trader at Hammerhead 2018 on the day. This is an extra purchase for yourself and an extra sale for our traders. The ticket holder or their named representative must be present for the draw at 3:15pm in order for them to claim their prize. If the owner of the drawn ticket is not present, another ticket will be drawn.
